Prepare the nail plate by pushing back and removing cuticles, gently buffing away shine, and cleaning off oil and dust using alcohol. Apply and cure a base coat, then add one or two thin layers of color, curing between coats. Finish using a compatible top coat and cure again to complete the manicure.

Cure the color for two minutes under a UV lamp or for 30–60 seconds under an LED lamp. Avoid the skin and cuticle area during application, and cap the free edge to help seal the tip and sides. When it is time for a new look, remove the gel by soaking it in acetone or using gel polish remover.
